At the intersection, Dandelion’s curiousity was aroused by the visible gate with a sign on it. She turned and ambled in that direction just to see if she could read it.
The tunnel widened out until it finally opened into a large well-lit chamber with a large silver gate in the far wall. Inscribed on a metal plaque on the gate are the words: “Behold the staircase leading to level two. Have you paid your taxes? See the Tax Collector now.” Around the keyhold is written, “Give me gold and the gate is yours.” Beyond the gate a large staircase winds downwards and out of sight.
Dandelion heard a shrill whistle from somewhere behind her. When she turned around she didn’t see anything in the distance.
She had apparently forgotten all about the moonstone necklace by now. She had the puzzle of the gate to think about. [What did Dandelion do:
- Turn around and go looking for the Tax Collector?
- Turn around and go back to the four way intersection?
- Try to pick the lock and go down the stairs?
- Try to smash the gate open and go down the stairs?

Dekhurrrsio said… “We gotta put the necklace on and cast spells or throw it away. It will continue to drain con a 1 per turn in the bag.”.
Dekhurrrsio said… “By we I mean Dandelion ”
Dandelion the Ogre said… “Yes! Guys, necklace in bag is BAD! I don’t understand why people keep voting that way. Maybe you’re all just ready to let me die.. aw… can’t you end this adventure by letting me go home instead? I’ve gotten rather emotionally attached to, erm, myself.”.
Khenn Arrth said… “How to Save Dandelion:
Something must be done about/with the necklace.
Some of you know what to do. I won’t say more because I’m not telling you what to do. Your choice is free..
A plurality of you voting members have to choose to do it..
The choices that come up in each turn are only going to be the logical ones.
There is, at the moment, no logical reason for Dandelion to take the necklace, or the eagle eggs, out of her carrysack. That choice won’t appear until there’s a logical reason for it.
You all have the power to over-ride my vote by choosing to do something different and sending it in as a write-in vote. For example, if 15 of you wrote in that Dandy has a sudden impulse to put the necklace on and cast Poor Baby on her CON, using 20 points of her WIZ to do so, then that’s what Dandy would do on the next turn, but if 6 of you suggest that, and 12 of you say she just walks back to the 4-way corner, guess what, she just walks back to the 4-way corner and the necklace effect happens again.. That should make things as plain as possible. To save Dandelion, you players. must cooperate.”.
Grimtongue said… “I’ve been voting to put the necklace on and heal for awhile now and posting to that effect but it seems no one is listening.”.
Dandelion the Ogre said… “I’m going to continue to try to save DandelIon. Who’s with me besides Dekh and Grimtongue? Can we all get the big dumb Ogre to have a flash ogf genius and get the necklace to help her cast Poor Baby on her CON?
Quoghmyre said… “Let’s put that neckless on and kill Dandelion, opps I meant heal, yes let’s heal the ogre.”.
Grimtongue said… “Say “No” to Ogre-cide. Heal Dandelion. Vote to heal with the Necklace.”.
Khenn Arrth said… “Here are the latest voting results for turn 33:
- turn around and go back to intersection–6
- pick the lock and go down–4
- Go find the tax collector–8
- put gold piece in keyhole–1 (write-in vote)
- smash the gate and go down–1
- put on necklace and cast poor baby–3 (write-in votes)
